A Christmastime chat with Alex Tween of The Forms (podcast)

Posted by Jason Schueppert on Sep 22nd, 2008

The Forms have been earning favor with the rock critic since they put out “Icarus” in ‘03. Since then, they’ve followed up their first album with a self-titled affair, that came out back in October of last year to much acclaim. Their badassery is quite clear on the second disc, and I dorked up and had to have a chat with Mr. Alex Tween, master of the strings.

Tween and I discussed the darkside of Pitchfork, how to avoid being ’scene’ in NY, the ease of working with Steve Albini, and Christmas shopping. Click the link before for some tracks by the group mixed in with some chatter, brought to you by KVSC and the “Crispy Critics”.

An audio interview with Mr. Paul F. Tompkins (podcast)

Posted by Jason Schueppert on Sep 29th, 2008

About six months ago I did a phone interview with the very pleasant Paul F. Tompkins for KVSC, a local college and community radio station. You can read the condensed version here, but I recently got my hands on the audio from the said chat, and thought I’d post it here. So, if you’d like to hear my awkward verbal nods and his friendly demeanor, click the link below.
